Norwich land Fenerbahçe winger Anthony Musaba on loan — reuniting him with his old coach

Norwich City have signed Dutch winger Anthony Musaba on a season-long loan from Fenerbahçe, the club announced on Wednesday. The 25-year-old will wear squad number 49, and the Pink Un reports that Fenerbahçe are covering a proportion of his salary.

The move reunites Musaba with head coach Philippe Clement, who worked with him at Monaco — a connection the player made no secret of. "I'm really happy and excited to be here," he said. "I know the coach too, so that was also a really big boost."

Sporting director Ben Knapper set out what Norwich are buying: "He is quick, powerful, direct and arrives with lots of experience throughout Europe and in the Championship." That Championship experience is substantial — 80 appearances across two seasons at Sheffield Wednesday — and it matters for a squad that needed a direct wide option after injury disrupted its forward line.

Musaba joined Fenerbahçe from Samsunspor only in January 2026 and contributed eight goal involvements in 24 games in Turkey, but fell outside the plans quickly enough for a loan to make sense for all three parties: minutes for the player, wage relief for Fenerbahçe, and a known quantity for Clement's promotion-chasing side.
